Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Mixed to negative comments: several guests reported worn rooms, mold in bathrooms and a shower needing scrubbing; some guests did note rooms were clean, but overall cleanliness concerns lowered this score.

Service

Mostly positive reports of welcoming, helpful and attentive staff; however there are notable service failures (recurrent keycard/entry problems, at least one report of unprofessional staff behavior) which are exceptions to otherwise strong service—score slightly elevated to reflect the many positive staff mentions and to balance other low-scoring areas.

Location

Consistently praised: central, excellent walking access to Midtown, Penn Station, subway, Madison Square Garden and the Flower District. Location is repeatedly described as 'perfect' or 'unbeatable'.

Room Quality

Comfortable beds and generally tidy rooms but frequent comments about small rooms and very small bathrooms (limited surface space, single small sink), plus occasional issues like a loud/hard-to-close door and temperamental heating/cooling.

Amenities

Some useful conveniences (easy bag drop, central location) but negative notes on lack of parking, no breakfast in some stays, problematic keycard system and finicky heating/cooling—amenities are adequate but imperfect.

Value for Money

Several guests felt the hotel was expensive for the small room size and limited amenities; value perceived as below expectations for price.

Rooftop Bar with City View

Experience the vibrant pulse of New York City from the rooftop bar and lounge at Cambria Hotel New York - Chelsea. Enjoy breathtaking city views while sipping on your favorite cocktail.
